A very unsaturated ink of amber colour. I can't say I like it. It has some decent shading in flex nibs, but the colour is too wishy-washy in normal writing.

It dries quite fast and water-resistance is poor.

I think this one is a typical Herbin ink: very low saturation, watery inks which write so light that your eyes hurt. It would be a nice choice for drawing, but not for writing (for me anyway).

I don't know why I bought a bottle of this. Now I have to find a way to use up a barrel of it...

The samples are done on Rhodia Pad with a vintage Waterman's.

I find it very pen dependant, it needs a broader wet pen to get the darker tones and the shading.

Tried a dip pen with it once - it's far too watery to work with it properly, but the shading you get with it looks incredible.

I like the colour and the shading a lot....

What I do not like....

It is as dry as a Camel's bottom after a desert strolll

In Jazz usic you have scatman in FP you have Skipman....

I have drop the FP from a plane in 10000 metres altitude after not using it for two days... Just like the Herbin Caacoa de Bresil..

What a pity... Ilove the colour and the shading.... I have more Herbin inks that behave very well... 1670 Blue, Vert d'Olive, terre de Feu, Lie the the I love...

Herbin fier Fils de France, je suis un Francophile, J'adore Herbin.....

Please Herbin make this ink behave well... It is lovely

I love Herbin.... Je suis un Franophile.... J#

I use this Ambre de Birmanie often in my Montegrappa Harmony Honey with F nib. The colour of the pen matches the colour of the ink. I like this colour very much. Looks a bit like gold and caramel. When it is filled with Ambre de BIrmanie I do write with this pen everyday otherwise the ink evaporates in the convertor ! At least that is what I think what happens.

I like this ink, but it is too light in the snorkel!

I love the color. Plenty dark for me, but like Ste_S said, it's too watery. At some point, I'll have to stick it in a fine, but for the time being, it's been shelved for other ink.

May be not very saturated but I love the colour...

It looks in French.... Chene d'Automne...

That is French for Autumn Oak and that is what it look like a bit.... and it shades....

It is a bit dry though

I love this ink and don't find it too pale for writing at all. I use it as cartridges in a Pilot Prera with the standard yellow nib that it came with (a medium nib, I guess). The shading is so beautiful! It is one of my favourite inks of all time :)

UK-based pen fan. I love beautiful ink bottles, sealing wax, scented inks, and sending mail art. Also, thanks to a wonderful custom-ground nib by forum member Bardiir, I'm currently attempting calligraphy after years of not being able to do so due to having an odd pen-grip :D
