Writing Tools For Children To Avoid Future Deformity And To Help With The Treatment Of Dysgraphia.

1. From birth onwards correct development of bones and connective tissues is essential in order to avoid future hand and finger deformities.
2. Dysgraphia is a condition wherby children find it difficult to put thoughts into the written word. When using a conventional pen and adopting the wrong writing posture this can lead to:
  • Tight, awkward pencil grip and body position
  • Avoiding writing or drawing tasks
  • Trouble forming letter shapes
  • Inconsistent spacing between letters or words
3. As with all learning disabilities (LD), dysgraphia is a lifelong challenge, although how it manifests may change over time. A student with this disorder can benefit from specific accommodations in the learning environment. Extra practice learning the skills required to be an accomplished writer can also help.
4.It is essential to recognise the onset of such problems and to address them correctly at an early stage of the childs development.
5. By using the RinG-Pen Ultra (link removed by moderator) this will help in various ways:
  • Encourage proper grip, posture and paper positioning for writing.
  • It’s important to reinforce this early as it’s difficult for students to unlearn bad habits later on.
  • Remediation: providing instruction for improving handwriting and writing skills.
  • Ensure correct healthy development of bones and tissues and so prevent other peripheral postural problems at a later stage.

In itself this post tackles a real problem, that can be discussed.

However placing it in the wrong forum AND putting in your website to promote sales makes it spam.

As the discussion in itself is valid, I will let the topic stand but move it to "First Stop" and remove the link.

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Reminds me of the day my associates and I developed a cure for all mankind's ills and mistakenly wrote it down with invisible ink.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
