And we should find out, do you have any new additions, Kenshiro? We are also happy to look at more pictures of your favorites.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

....<gasping for breath>....

I'm fascinated by demonstrators..

Sadly, now I don't think I will EVER see a more beautiful collection of pens for the rest of my life. Soul crushing :)

This is clearly a most spectacular and dazzling collection. Everything about the way you have brought this together, including the storage cases.

Please do post photos of them as you ink, if you would?

Does the Jaipur fit your criteria? And did you add the Kaweco?

Magnificent, is all I can say.

Where did you source the Pilot Petit1 Noncolor?

Regards,

AD

I had no idea that people were still looking at this thread!

The collection is still building... I plan to provide an update once this damned CAISO comes in.

...which might be in 2017 at this rate :(

On the Hunt For:

1) Atelier Simoni ID Demonstrator Natural Rhodium (As if it existed.)

2) Moresi 2nd Limited Edition Delta Demonstrator

3) y.y. Pen Club #4 and #10

Stunning collection! I love demonstrator's (only have a vac-700 & Lamy Vista though) and wish I had the money for a collection like yours.

Wonderful collection! I'm just curious how often do you actually ink them? Cleaning a demo is a headache for me. Let me also suggest the Firma/Aurora Qube, demonstrator with a demonstrator case and the Conklin MT Demo!

I'm glad you like it. I usually keep 4-5 inked at any given time with different colors for day-to-day use, though I have other EDCs that sometimes take a few of those slots, particularly with the saturated inks so I don't stain the demos. Cleaning is a snap with an ultrasonic, so that's ceased to be an issue.

I actually have an Aurora Cube, it's visible in the third tray, sixth slot from the left. The Conklins are ineligible for my collection because the nibs are two-tone.

Cheers!

Very nice collection you have there and very appropriate storage solution. I've often thought I should develop curation rules for my collection. Unfortunately my only rule is:

--fountain pen

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
