I didn't like grey inks, but this one ..... WOW. Thanks for sharing (or not ... enabler!) Very nice pictures.

Now a little voice in my head keeps telling me: 'you need that ink, you want that ink, buy it, buy it.'

oh my, how long can I resist it ....

Then, of course, will be the 64K question -- sample first or go whole hog and get a full bottle....

No, the question after seeing these pictures is: only one bottle? :)

I am no longer very active on FPN but feel free to message me. Or send me a postal letter!

Not only do I need to buy this ink, I need to buy the Pen also. (Lamy 2000 in Stainless Steel)

Definitely buying this and replacing the brand new bottle of Graphite I just got... Same thing happened with Rouge Hematite. I bought 2 nice reds and then shortly thereafter ordered RH with my notebooks and probably won't touch the other reds. Whoops.

I'm going to make you feel better by pointing out that the pen in the photo isn't the Stainless Steel 2K, it's the much cheaper everyday black one. :)

SWEET JESUS I NEED THAT. Not want. NEED. It cannot be unseen, and thus has become part of me. I long for it the way I long for sushi.

That's how I felt when I saw the pics hehe

Too bad I just made an order yesterday, too late now since I live in the middle of nowhere.

Never has a "splat" been so desirable :)

Thanks for posting; it will be interesting to see how extended use affects ink flow.

OH MY --- I've already called my favorite store and they are closed at this late hour. I NEED this ink.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
