mhguda
It does look so much richer in your test page. I'm adding it to the To consider list... which is getting much longer now that you're doing these pages. ETA I will probably have to limit myself to samples. Otherwise I will have ink for centuries. amberleadavis
For many reasons, I don't think Konrad is going to offer samples. mhguda
I was afraid of that. Well, depending on the cost of it all, I will make my decision when we reach that moment. napalm
By the time sheet 1098 got here, KWZI #22 lost most of its blue component and is now pretty much a gray. A slightly bluish one (when compared to Fuyu Syogun) but it's a gray nevertheless. Since I have nothing at hand to match it, I just scanned three sheets in the same pass so one could not only notice the difference from Amber's scan (paper freshly inked) and after 12 days (my scan), but also have some color anchors. Obviously some Iron Gall magic going on there... Edited August 23, 2014 by napalm
inkstainedruth
#22 is not bad. But some of the other IG colors are causing serious mouth watering! Sigh. As if I don't already have enough ink.... kwzi
There is a story behind every ink This ink is based on ink formula from c.a. 1920 which was then widely used as popular school/clerk ink. The ink formula was improved to be less corrosive and have better flow in fountain pens, because the original was intended to be used with dip pens. When used with dip pen this ink really changes color from nice deep blue to almost pure black, so this is classic Blue/Black I have a lot of tape - and I won't hesitate to use it! Tas
3 out of 3 tested are keepers. Despite it being my favourite ink I don't seem to have it loaded in a pen. It usually lives in my bulletproof Sheaffer Intrigue but ESSRI has been squatting that recently . . .)
