Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

It might be a little too hot/bright, it was for me.

I was expecting a much darker Kelly Green. But I guess, this is how Diamine think Kelly Green looks.

It is bright, that’s for sure. But as Amber said, it’s just dark enough for daily use, unlike, say, Diamine Light Green, which is definitely too bright. I like the colour very much; it’s a very nice, pure green, with neither too much blue nor yellow. Maybe I’ll find the time somewhere to scan my own review that is lying around somewhere in that mess here.

A dwarf’s unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Fortress which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary we will pin all our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. I got a sample today and really liked it. I thought I could go to a 30ml bottle if they were easily available. I like the shading and the tones that the color go through.Still going to use much more in order to get more words about. And I would easily use it everyday.

Kelly Green has some lovely shading. But I found it was way too light to be legible when I tried a sample of it several years ago. And Diamine Meadow wasn't much better in that regard. Fortunately, samples are cheap.

Thanks for the review, though.

From the writing sample, this ink is not what I think of when I think "Kelly green." This is far too yellow and pale imo to be called Kelly--unless I'm confused about colors (a distinct possibility!).

Green has never been my favorite color, but recently I've become interested in green inks, maybe because spring is right around the corner. I just bought my first bottle of (non-shimmer) green ink--Montblanc Irish Green. I really like it, and it's the green I think of when I think "Ireland." (My paternal ancestors were from Ireland and my maiden name is Kelley). It's green, but bright and cheery.

Until Irish Green, my favorite sample of green was Diamine Sherwood Green. It's darker, more of a Christmas-tree green to my eyes. I just never got around to buying a whole bottle of it. I do have a bottle of Diamine shimmer Magical Forest, which I use at Christmas.

Interesting that we often get a preconception of what we expect an ink to look like, and they don't always comply.
