What do you think? I think Tears of a Clown is boring unless you can see that sheen.

With or without sheen, I think it's an elegant color. It has just the right amount of purple to keep one interested while not being aggressive. Compared to it Syrah is garish and this comparison made me remember that for this reason I would prefer PR Burgundy to Syrah. I also remember a poll with 10 reds where I voted the Red Dragon but now I think I would rather go for R&K Morinda, Monaco or something less aggressive.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning.
