Sinistral1
It did not impress me as a black black, but rather as a very dark black with a pronounced brown/sepia undertone. It is well behaved on that paper, unlike some of the other blacks I compared it to. Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.
msun
My review of Black Balled at 16% dilution. I thought it was well behaved, but certainly not black, more of a brown-black. Still a nice color. The scan doesnt capture the color exactly, and not sure how to fix that. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/kikosun/Susemaiblackballed_zpsf799fba0.jpg
amberleadavis
The inconsistent ink flow is a new observation. Thank you for sharing. Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas). vossad01
I have posted an Exponential Inky Gradient of Black Balled for those wondering about different concentrations.
amberleadavis
I'm kind of sorry that Black Balled and Blue Balls didn't make the short list... seriously, I giggle everytime someone says... "I love blue balls" ... and as a Las Vegan, being Black Balled is a serious condition. Thank you Adam for those gradiants! TheRealScubaSteve
I'm bummed too because I really liked this color.
vossad01
Remarks copied from the Inky Gradient Remarks: In the more concentrated forms this one takes on a red/brown/sepia color. This is very apparent at 16% and can still be noticed a little bit at 8% though how apparent it is is impacted by the paper. I could see it being marketed for this quality, but if it is market just as a black it would probably be a problem due to the red color and the fact it really is not that black. TheRealScubaSteve
I know. I'll have to memorize your number, especially if I get black-balled in Vegas.
