dcwaites
This is the problem with four years of university, with a chunk of that in Chemistry. Some of it sticks. BTW, you have to let us know the first time you use 'deliquescing' or 'deliquescent' in a court room... Edited July 13, 2014 by dcwaites “Them as can do has to do for them as can’t. Tas
Yay. Good old US Mail / Royal Mail. Two pipettes fully intact, one of which has been emptied into my usual "Amber Ink Test Pen" http://www.taskyprianou.com/fpn_black_balled_swatch.jpg http://www.taskyprianou.com/fpn_black_balled_rhodia.jpg If I'm honest, I preferred The Black Amber's colour and darkness although am looking forward to playing with this ink's dual personality. Thanks again Amber.(Blue Cashmere will follow once Black Balled has been used up)
Cyber6
Awesome again Tas !!!.. Black Balled is actually one of my fav... .I love the almost "sepia" tone. I use broad nibs and I can see the sepia tone in my writing. I did not do a "wash"... so I am quite interested in the cool blue shade. I do love inks with complex personalities... I am really enjoying Black Balled. **** BauerInks.ca ******** MORE.... Nope Susemai is NOT Konrad. Konrad is KWZI and I am testing his inks. Morames
I really like the color of this Black Balled ink. It has a nice reddish hue to it. However for some reason, I'm having trouble with starts from my TWSBI Vac 700 EF. I need to resac an Estie I have so I can use the flex nib again. The one I've been using has a crack in the section and I keep soaking my middle finger in ink. All in all not a problem, but also not the desired outcome. I will post the review fairly soon. I'm doing both a 16% and 8% with the Black Balled. I'm sorry if it's a little incoherant, I'm writing them after my 12 hour night shift of nursing. I'll post them later in the week after I've gotten some sleep.
amberleadavis
A note from Susemai Just about mixing: Batch A and C should be fine mixed together. Batch B and D should be fine mixed together. A and C are one dye group and B and D are another dye group so there could be unpredictable results. Batches A and B are pretty much conventional formulas with the normal additives in the normal amounts.. Batches C and D contain a lesser number of additives and smaller amounts of the additives, but all batches use the same additives. But I've also just discovered that there are groups within groups and families within families of these dyes. I'm pretty sure they won't explode and the worst that could happen is that they may congeal or clump or change colour in time. Probably most of the weird things that happen when mixing different brands of inks are due to incompatibilities with the additives more so than the dyes. Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
