Meisterstuck Roller Ball Cap

I imagine this has been addressed but my search was unsuccessful. I recently received a new Le Grand Roller ball as a gift. It's a wonderful pen but I cannot successfuly keep the cap on while writing. Perhaps my writing grip is the problem but the cap repeatedly pops off and I am reluctant to apply too much pressure in an attempt to keep it on. Not much help when contacting customer service.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the exact same problem with my Legrand rollerball. I learned to write un posted.

I never write with any pen posted, so it wouldn't be a problem for me.

Have you tried it unposted? The Le Grand is a big enough pen to do that

I always write with my pens posted. Some MB pens cannot be posted (Heritage) and I would not purchase them. Some MBs I have are top heavy when posted (Dickens) and I regret that. But, the LeGrand series is perfect (for me) in diameter and balance when posted. I have no problem posting the FP, RB, or highlighter (several examples of each) and the fit is secure on all of them.

I've has this issue also with my Legrand rollerball. Presuming everything is uniform, you just need to post the cap a tad bit harder probably. It needs to create a vacuum inside the cap that holds it on. Then when unposting, I just wiggle the cap a tiny which releases the pressure and it comes right off. But because this is a thicker diameter pen with threads, there is less contact inside the cap when it's posted.

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

I am not sure how to respond to that exclamation! If "posting your Dickens" is a euphemism for something rude in Manchester, then I apologize, but since I don't know what it is, I don't know if I have tried it or not (probably I have). If you mean "tried to post my Montblanc Charles Dickens Writer's Edition fountain pen", then not only have I tried it, but have routinely been writing with the pen posted for the past thirteen years. There is a tapered plastic liner in the cap that I assume was designed to allow a snug fit when the heavy cap was posted (which works well). There are no scratches on the barrel etc. as described with other MB pens. It works perfectly well .... except that the balance is a little top heavy and I have not had any issues. Is there a reason that I shouldn't be "posting my Dickens" with either meaning?

Calm down my dear........ I also use a Dickens on a regular basis, please see my MB carry out team below, and find the weight of the cap more than a tad too heavy to post. Not a poster as a rule but did try the cap posted on the Dickens and it felt way out of balance.

Just as a point of interest the cap of a standard resin 149 weighs in at 11.16g whilst the heavy weight Dickens tips the scales at a whopping 24.85g.......Marlene wins though at 27.36g ! ( this explanation mark does not mean anything )
