Please Advise: Is This Solitaire Authentic?

I occasionally come across pictures of a Solitaire that has this pattern.

I always thought it was only available in a 'pure silver' 146 FP.

So is the 144 version in this pattern ever an authentic pen?

Thanks for that link Rowbo.

It shows 2 versions: the silver-corn, (cap) and the all over gold barley (barrel). However, the all over gold barley is an all over pattern. I haven't seen the gold-corn pattern on a 144. That's what made me question authenticity. I thought the corn was an old pattern.

If it is genuine, and silver, then that is a good price. Did they not always mark them Ag or 925? If so, then odd that the photos don't show it,or is it my eyes?

The mont blanc may well be genuine, but I would certainly be careful - due to the seller only having 3 feedback and only selling braned goods which are commonly replicated. The descriptions and lack of pictures from more angles also hint at it being faked, although this could just be due to the sellers inexperience.

Either way, be careful

Edit: infact, he had no feedback as a seller, only as a buyer - i would not want to spend $350 on a replica (no matter how good the replica may be)

But there is always a chance that the seller is selling the genuine article, and if thats the case then it is a good pen for the money.

Recent ones have 3 gold rings and some models have 3 silver rings.

I have my doubts on the U or Ü on the ring, pics not sharp enough.
