Yes sir.. let me post a comparative picpost-110601-0-64584300-1417720812_thumb.jpg

Crystal is , I guess , as broad and as large as Bramhaputra..

The best thing is that I am liking combination of indian feed with German nib

Airborne Xt is cool too, but the build quality and finish of Crystal is better

. But the Schmidt fine nib is a beautiful writer. I really liked it.

Thank you for recommending it. :)

Wow!! Congrats. Can you tell us more about the writing experience etc.

It writes very well, typical JoWo smoothness. The size of the pen is perfect for my arthritic claw. I'm very happy with it.

ETA: It is a medium nib, not broad.

I will sir, as soon as I get my Revolution.

I just tried the Amazon shop of ASApens and ordered one Oliver piston demonstrator. I tried cash on delivery just for the sake of trying. :)

Well, I am expecting it within a day or two with Oliver Tulip Piston Fill and Wallity 71Jt. Do you have Wallity Demonstrator or Oliver?

Today, I recieved three pens from ASApens

1st the Spear...

2nd the Wallity 71jt

3rd the Oliver Tulip Piston filler

Spear was..............great.....No doubts no issues superb balance wonderful nib.

Wallity was beautiful but not a good writer.. I think the Company is dying and is not interested in keeping the quality standards intact

Oliver Tulip was a nice pen for its price.

The highlight of the day is spear. Guys, those who want to get it, please get it, it's a pen no one should miss. Combines the balance of Athlete with a Superb German Nib.

Will upload photos and possibly a review soon..

Congratulations. I look forward to seeing your photos of the Spear. Something interesting that is not widely discussed, is that the Pilot steel nibs from the MR/78G type pens fit in the Oliver Tulip. You can have a nice piston filler with an excellent nib for a reasonable price with a Tulip and a 78G.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
