I've read not so good reviews on the fountain pen version, so I went with the ball point version. Turns out, you need the phillips screw driver to change the refill!

I purchased a blue fountain pen version from Monteverde itself, at the Washington D.C. Pen Supershow.  I took it home and tried to insert the included short Int’l Std. cartridge, but it did not fit into the back of the section; it was a bit big for the section, so that when I tried to click it in place, the cartridge just bent.  I tried other Int’l Std cartridges I already owned, and the same thing happened.  An Int’l Std converter fits nicely, but is too long to allow the pen to close over it.  Any ideas what the problem is?  Just a non-conforming section back?
