Identify My Duofold International Please

Can someone identify my Duofold? I was given it as a gift in 1998. The size is 13.1 cm which corresponds to the international version.

 

I can't seem to find on the web any Parker Duofolds with single-tone arrow nib like mine... Does anyone have a Duofold with a single-tone nib like this one???

Yes, I used to have one exactly like it until I sold it, it's a blue marble duofold with an earlier nib.

Help? Why am I buying so many fountain pens?

I've never seen an all gold Modern Duofold nib other than the one on the LE Mandarin, which is slightly different to this. It's a strong possibilty that someone polished the rhodium? plating off the arrow imprint? I wouldn't think it would be hard to do either accidently or not.

The earliest of the International Duofolds had two flush cap bands. Later ones had domed cap bands. I think the early ones had nibs like yours.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
