Okay. I'll say it: No way at that price!

Too bad. It's a pretty pen.

Ohhhhh It´s very expensive, I kind of Montblanc sindrome I suppose. Let´s see if there is a reconsideration of the price. At the end is only a pen.

Write, write, write. Use your pens not your fingers !!!

I like the new M101N red tortoise and I'm very glad that they decided to go with a monotone unplated nib rather than the two-tone nib that Regina Martini had originally posted.

(I was also hoping that the cap would be tortoiseshell as well as the barrel, like the M101N Tortoiseshell Brown. Not that the red cap looks bad, but still ... that would have been my preference.)

In any case, I will wait until it's offered at a reasonable price before I purchase.

And ... I'm looking forward to seeing the orange highlighter. I love the M205 nibs, and I'm a sucker for demonstrators. I recently purchased the M205 Duo Shiny Green, and put a M205 "F" nib into it. Super pen! No hard starting, no skipping, no scratchiness -- both nib and pen perfect from the factory, no adjustments needed.

I'm not really interested in M101N Red Tortoise, but the M600 Vibrant Green really caught my eye. I inquired at CFP (nibs.com) and was told they are coming in September. Retail is $385, CFP price is $308. And they are taking pre-orders, which made me happy.

Now if Pelikan would only release an M800 Ruby Red...

  • 2 weeks later...

Don't know if anyone noticed, but there are now actual pictures of the vibrant green pen on martini auctions: http://www.martiniauctions.com/item/id/PRE_ORDER_Pelikan_M600_pen_VIBRANT_GREEN_Special_Edition_29174.html

It's a brighter green than I imagined from the pictures on the Pelikan website, or more pearlescent, if that's the right word...

Could it be the flash from the photos? I often have a hard time with the pics on that site.

Hmm, well I'll soon know. Regina posted mine a day or two ago and with typical transport time it should be here around the 8th or so of September.

Yup, this whole year has gone by too fast.

I have the Green o Green m600 so I can take some shots of the two side by side for comparison.

Yes, can't wait to see the photos. I have the Green o'Green also and have been waffling between trying to track down a reasonably priced Ruby Red vs. going in for the new green. I'd love to see the comparison.

This may have been posted elsewhere, but the Pelikan P200 and P205 can be purchased in the U.S. from fahrneyspens.com for $128.00. They suggest a converter as well, but since I have yet to convince my husband that I truly need this pen, I don't know if the converter is a good fit.

And another new Pelikan product for 2014 has been unveiled: The Souverän M1000 Raden Starlight fountain pen. It will be released by October 2014 but only 333 pieces worldwide will be made. Some pictures can be found here: http://www.fritz-schimpf.de/Neuheiten/Pelikan-Limited-Edition-M1000-Raden-Starlight.html

At Ebay, missing-pen is already selling (not pre-order) the M101N Red tortoise. Oh, the humanity!

The Radden M1000 it is a beautiful pen, like a jewel, but too far away of my wallet

4) M205 SE orange highlighter with a 1.5 italic nib rather than the customary BB (presumably with ink to match)

Seems like everything else in the list has been accounted for...is there a release date for this?

Well, everything else has been following the standard release schedule for the last model in that series - e.g. M101Bs in September, so by that reckoning we should be looking at October. Of course, it may be that in this particular case, my psychic vibrations have let me down, although as I said upthread, a dealer did contact me and confirmed that all these items were on the cards. So we'll have to wait and see. :)

And are your psychic vibrations telling you how soon in mid Sept the red tortoise will arrive on these shores?

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

Funny you should say that ... on the way back from Asda this afternoon, I caught a whiff of the Cosmic Infinite which suggested the week after next, although admittedly I had just eaten a big pasty.

I also had a vision of Regina Martini at the WES show, her trestle table groaning with the buggers and at a very good price too, but you probably don't need my Gifts to see that one.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
