I'm going up tomorrow. I'm looking to pick up a set of Pilot Parallels and look a the Pilot Justus. I want to see the Onotos Magna that Richard Binder has as I'm seriously considering one.

 

Other than that, I'm just looking for a mid-winter break and to test out the two primary Philly Cheesesteak rivals (wit cheese wiz and the other one).

 

Who else is going and what are you looking for?

I'd be interested in a link as well. I'm only a 20 minute drive from the city.. sounds like a fun way to spend a friday!!

It's held at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel, 201 N 17th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

The schedule is Friday, January 17, 2014—11 AM to 6 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2014—10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday, January 19, 2014—10 AM to 4 PM

My suggestion is to skip Wharton St, and take a trip down to Front Street, and Oregon Ave- Tony Luke's Original Store/stand- That's where the best sandwiches are!!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off.
