I have this and like it, in fact almost always have something in the rotation inked with it. It does behave nicely on paper, and in the pen, not sheeny, and does offer saturation.

 

Not a bingo competitor but I'm partial to what I call the pond scum range. (I'm just an 'earth tones' kind of guy, but i don't wear birkentocks and purple sox.)

 

If Musk is a bit off putting, how about Musciato, so much more 'continental'.

Even this wording "pond scum" reminds me so much of the great times I experienced at an age of 5 or 6. Nonetheless, I'm not sure that that name would, today, force me to buy this ink. But... just to be sure... I'll order it anyhow...

Nope, it's musk.

 

 

I cannot read the label of the bottle.... I google it up, I can't seem to find it anywhere.

 

 

 

Ok.. I got my confusion now. I only know it as "Verde Muschiato"... I guess I thought muschiato was italian for "Moss"... :P

Oh, man, I've been looking for Stipula Moss green.... Can't find any that don't look like mine. My sample was labelled musk. Left to my own guess work this would have been green mustache so I have no problem with "moss" instead of musk.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
