I dont know what the deal is, but when i go i cannot find the arc deals. i think im going to just go into the store, i need school supplies for next semester. The arc notebooks are great, i have one of the small ones right now. Looking to get a new big one in black.

Well they didn't know anything about a 40% off coupon for arc or moleskin, but i did find a 25% off coupon for any office supplies so i just used that.

brgmarketing, do you have a corporate account or anything?

Staples discounts depend on where you live, so if you're not in the same area you might not get the same discounts, and also the deal starts tomorrow (coupon in the weekly circular). Check your local Staples for the weekly coupon book starting tomorrow if you can't get the Staples weekly ad display to work (it's a weird one, and looks like it's only displaying current deals right now anyway).

No, I don't have a corporate account. I did sign up for a Rewards Card and also to receive their online email promotions (there are a lot of them) and I usually check out the "next week's ad" on Friday or Saturday.

Here is the url for the add I saw (it's still posted) http://weeklyad.staples.com/StaplesSD/LandingPage?storeid=2278777#!/store/2278777/promotion

And attached are screen shots of the actual content of the online ad...

Please let me know if this helps at all. I can understand if the printed circulars are different but, I just logged on to the Staples' site, selected "Weekly ad" and viewed by "pages". and got to the ads themselves on page 12 of 13.

It's very satisfying to share the good stuff. A while back some posted a heads up on Rhodia paper at 40% off w/ free shipping. I got together with a friend and we had lots of fun ordering. Of course I'm all set fro at least 6-9 month BUT, I am sure that won't be much of a limitation if the deal is good enough.

Nice experience with Staples! The local circular wasn't the same, so I printed the coupons as kindly provided by brgmarketing.

Local Staples honored the coupons with two discounted Arc notebooks as well as a few regularly priced! Plus I used the 25% off coupon to stock up on a few Arc accessories! :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
