Hi From Hungary

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking here for a while - just to learn as much as possible.

My name is György, from Hungary. By the time of day I work in the second (or third) largest city in the ENE part of the country. By the 'light of night', I live in a small village, some 20 km off. Both places and times I write quite a lot.

I learned to write with FPs - but I not 'collector' - they just happen to start piling up. In a pen I prefer simple design and innovative technological solutions as well as ease of maintenance; In nibs I tend to use the finer widths, for most of bulk writing I am OK with smooth nails; I usually write cursive (in an ugly longhand ~ business hand), so I have a predilection for stubs and some flex for flair.

My interest is more in writing - not only with FPs, but dip pens, occasionally pencils, graphite sticks, reed pens, metalpoints, even with knives - the only exception where I failed terribly is brush writing and ballpoints.

This is a great forum with an incredible hoard of accumulated rich knowledge, very nice and helpful people and sizzling with life. Something I'd like to be part of very much.

Welcome, Gyorgy !

The Parker 45 and TWSBI Diamond series are simple of design and easily maintained by the user. I hope you will be adding them to your collection of . . . . . . . I beg your pardon. . . . . . your piling up of pens.

Szia György !

Welcome to FPN. I certainly can identify with pens that just keep piling up :). Most of them are very inexpensive but they give me great joy.

My family also comes from NE Hungary .. a small village, Pácin, in BAZ megye and I have a cousin in Nyirbéltek which is not too far from Debrecen.

Enjoy your stay here at FPN. There are so many nice people who are very generous with their knowledge.

TWSBI's - they are the majority brand in my (two) drawers entirely dedicated two writing instruments. At least one is always in the rotation. Numbered Parkers haven't yet found me - I have Vectors and a Rialto.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hi György and welcome to FPN

Yes, there are collectors and people who just aggregate a number of pens.

I aggregate.

Enjoy the forum

Hello,

Here's to your ever expanding growth of pens being piled!
