Smurf
Noticed a strange looking pen in my *bay feed this afternoon - 171164399891. Seems to have Jules Verne furniture, but is advertised with a "resin" body. This is the first time I've noticed an attempt at a WE - have there been others?
isaacrn
I believe seeing a Kafka that had been faked as well. I know the Vernes has been a popular faked W.E. There are tell tale signs to see which are real, and which are faked though. In order to appreciate the sweet, you must truly taste the bitter.... http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/606/letterji9.png
isaacrn
By the way, I did report the item. Hopefully someone isn't taken with the fake In order to appreciate the sweet, you must truly taste the bitter.... http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/606/letterji9.png
Penne Stilografiche
That's definitely a fake. The pen is poorly made (the signature on the pen looks like a sticker) and it has an "iridium point" nib, which are big signs that the pen is fake. I don't think the seller knows he or she is selling a fake, so I will contact him and tell him the bad news. jar
Almost all of the Montblanc WE, LE SP and regular editions get faked. My Website
Chrissy
That Jules Verne type pen is definitely a fake. It's black with an Iridium Point nib and it's not a piston filler. It's an obvious and common fake. Edited November 9, 2013 by Chrissy
Smurf
The ID is now showing up as "invalid or non-existent" - hopefully that means someone was saved from being fleeced!
