My grandfather's old 1939 CS No. 236. It's missing a gold band, has teeth marks on the barrell, nib is worn, and lever missing the end. Doesn't write particularly well...but I LOVE it!

I've finally managed to leave the new Wordsworth alone and have picked up my lever filling Churchill in plain black with silver fittings. Loaded with my favourite Diamine Teal ink, this will do paperwork and diary service today :) .

I have the same #58 in Blue Marble, but, boy, that red herringbone is a winner! I love how slender the barrel tapers.

The old Herringbone is a very nice pattern.

Perhaps, Conway Stewart might make a modern pen with this one.

One of my favorites is a CS 15 in black with a medium italic nib. Clipped in my shirt pocket at least once a week.

My cracked ice 58 (lovely smooth medium stub nib) filled with Sailor Jentle Epinard gets used for nearly all my notes at work (4 to 5 sides of A4 a day).

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
