Rhodia At A Discount...

Just re-found this site - www.artistcraftsman.com/ and noticed that their Rhodia selection was offered at a 20% discount. In addition, shipping is flat rated at $7.00.

Looked good to me as compared to some of the other prices (especially with a shipping charge added.

No affiliation.

Another attractive opportunity from your friendly pen, paper and ink bargain hunter

Dickblick sells at same price or slightly less and free shipping on orders $59 or more.

And periodically (usually about half the time), they have these sales where they take an additional 15% off and free shipping if you buy a certain amount.

When they do this, its by far the best deal on rhodia products and worth stocking up.

There is an Artists and Craftsmen supply B&M store here in Pittsburgh. I was in there a week or two ago, but their Rhodia carousel seemed pretty picked over from the time I picked up a full sized pad (No. 18).

OTOH, one of the local Barnes and Noble stores now seems to be carrying Rhodia pads as well.

B&N usually has a bunch of nice pads / journals where I live. One of the reasons I like stopping in there - office supply stores are pretty hit-or-miss for nice paper, while indie bookstores often don't even have journals! Hurray for chain bookstores. :)

Just to mention, Dickblick (no affiliation) is currently selling rhodia online at 45% off retail price and free shipping, if you buy in bulk. Its quite a deal.

Would you have a link to the deal?

Went to their regular site and all I saw was the 20% off with the regular shipping costs.

Very interested to know what is considered a "bulk" purchase.

Thanks for the heads up.

Look at the very top of the page, it has their sale code CDLT which gives 10% off orders $69 or more, 20% off orders $99 or more or 25% off orders $149 or more (which in addition to their usual 20% off would add up to 45% off). They also have free shipping for order $99 or more.

This obviously is not going to be so great if you only order a couple notebooks. But if you stock up it could be quite a deal.

Either stock up or consider doing a group purchase on things that I want, that friends may also want.

Thanks for the heads up. My initial analysis was that the additional discounts did not apply because the products were already discounted, in the Rhodia Pad case, 20%.

Now I recognize that it is cumulative and a lot more attractive.

Yes, its cumulative. I just got some Rhodia #18 notepads (regularly $9/pad) for $5.39/pad with free shipping. :)
