Engeika No Longer Stocking Iroshizuku Inks?

I was looking to stock up on inks today, but it seems like Engeika isn't selling Iroshizuku inks at all anymore. Does anyone have a clue if it's a glitch, or if I'll just have to look around for a supplier elsewhere?

I noticed this as well it doesn't look like they're carrying ANY pilot products.

You might want to check Amazon for Iroshizuku inks - most of them are around $20 with free shipping if you're a prime member.

No clue. I've never bought from Engeika, but I have browsed through his stuff. It seems that he doesn't have anything from Pilot available on his website, ebay, and Amazon anymore other than a FRIXION at the bottom of the list if you search for Pilot under his listings on ebay.

Yeah. Problem is that I'm in Europe. The great thing about Engeika is that they're geniuses when it comes to circumventing tariffs. It'll run me at over 40$ a bottle if I order through Amazon.

The top of their webpages say they are doing some site maintenance. Expect it likely has something to do with that.

I inquired about a Pilot pen about two days ago and Taizo said he could get it for me.

Hope you're right! I was looking around, and it's impossible to find anything else in that price range shipping to Europe. Was afraid I'd have to live without my favourite inks.

I hope this is temporary because I have allocated part of the next wage packet to Pilot ink and a Custom 74. Past dealings with him have always been very smooth.

I'm pretty sure its temporary....Pilot/Namiki constitutes a significant portion of his stock.

I just received my Pilot Justus 95 pen and 4 bottles of Iroshizuku ink, ( including a new to me shade called "shin-kai"), today.

Pen is great and I like this new ink colour.

Why carry one pen when four will do!

  • 2 months later...

Taizo said to me they are still selling PILOT pens. What a relief!!! Because their price is the best ever!!!

They just now focus to sell PILOT items in their store.
Because I still buy PILOT pens from him every month.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
