Goulet Pen Nibs In Parkers?

InterInk

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a question. I have a Parker Frontier and I'd like to swap a nib. Recently I saw an interesting ad, goulet pen co. has made their own nibs(#6 nib). The question is does GP nibs fit into Parker frontier?

Why bother?

For about $25 or less you can get a nib master to mold your Frontier nib just the way you want it.

To pull a Frontier nib, you'll need a good repair person, someone who knows both the Frontier, its feed, and the Goulet nib. What's the advantage? You will pay the same, and I don't know that Goulet makes a better nib than Parker.

i just did a quick check, the feed has a diameter of 6.3mm, the Goulet Nib is a #6 Jowo nib so the size is 6mm. Noodler's Nibs are 6.3mm so that may work, however, the length of the nib is too long for the pen. In short cannot be done. Just for the sake of asking, what sort of nib you have and what you want it to be?

Frontier nibs unscrew and then pull out from the section, like Sonnet nibs. The nib is attached to the feed like a Sonnet nib is, clipping on to the feed.

Why bother? There is a penpartsstore ebay seller offering Frontier nibs starting about $10 with the section. I bought a "gothic" italic and a fine. Both perfect. Because of some other bidder, I ended up paying about $12 each plus shipping. For the nib plus section, a screw-in solution, seems like a decent deal.
