Can Anyone Identify This Waterman's Pen For Me

Recommended Posts

If anyone knows what the model of this pen is, its approximate value, when it was made, etc., I would greatly appreciate it.

It is an English made Waterman's. It seems to me based upon the clip design and lever box that it was made sometime between 1937 and 1940 something but that is all I have.

I love my Waterman Pens and this one is no exception. It has a very nice flexible nib. I've had it customized into a sharp fine Italic from the medium that it was originally. Before the customization the nib was not as nice as the earlier Waterman's that I am super fond of but now that it has been customized it is spectacular.

In addition to the Black and Pearl English made Waterman's I am asking for help identifying I have attached my box of favorite Waterman's pens.

5. #94

7. Emerald Ray

8. #7 Red

Thanks in advance to you Waterman's experts for your kind help.

Aloha,
Todd

Very nice, Konis

A great spotted woodpecker. Juvenile (they have the red cap, adult females are black cap, adult males have just a small red spot at the neck)

Hey guys I don't think that this is Junior. The top of my pen is flat.

I think it is the same as this pen which is also un-named. http://www.vintagewatermanpens.co.uk/ProdDesc.asp?cat=-1&id=w4847

I will take measurements of the pen and post them later.

Thanks everyone for your help.

The pen posted is 5 15/16 and capped is 4 3/4.

Or 151mm and 120mm respectively. The diameter of the pen seems thicker than the Junior as well. It's more like the Silver Ray and 94.

Thanks again.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
