Do let us know if you purchase either--would live to hear your impressions:)!

Inoxcrom is a Spanish brand. They used to have some reasonable pens.

Lately I hear mixed sounds about them.

And Matador are vintage pens, not that often seen, I believe.

I am not into vintage myself. I have seen some very nice pens around.

Interesting. Back in the middle ages, Spain had a very vibrant Jewish community. Up until the Inquistion that is.... (Jews were expelled in 1492; to stay there were forced conversions.) Anyway,, -- such things as Torah scrolls, mezuzahs, tefillin, etc are hand written on parchment using quill pens. Those who are trained and qualified to do this are called "sofer" in Hebrew -- which appears to be the first name on the list!

Scrikss was founded in Barcelona by Luis Gispert Ribó in 1942.

All the patents were sold to a Turkish company in 1966.

Really interesting, and I am sure that many other words we use in Spain come from Hebrew, part of our heritage :)

Very true. And, Arabic words as well.

My Spanish heritage is Castilian and Basque. I only speak the Castilian language and trying to learn Basque.

I heard that some newer Inoxcrom pens are made in China. I cannot confirm this, but in Spain, there are plenty of new and vintage Inoxcroms (made in Spain). My personal favorite is the Sirocco with a gold nib.

I only have two pens - an Aurora Optima and others.

Yep. I remember Herbert le Porrier's novel El médico de Córdoba ( I readed it ) about Maimónides and his brother there. Gonzalo de Rojas autor of ´´La Celestina¨ was a Sefardí writer. The parents of Santa Teresa de Ávila and San Juan de la Cruz were too. There is a novel ´´Sefarad´´ by the excelent writer Antonio Muñoz Molina (not readed yet).

I will try to explain what had happened with Inoxcrom with my por english.

The most important value of the original company was that they manufacture absolubtly all the parts of the pens. A few years ago, the company more or less declared bankrupcy. But now the old employees are manufacturing new models of pens.

This is the old company with the old products, http://www.inoxcrom.com/en/portafolio/, some of them are still available in some stores.

The new one is this http://www.inoxcrom.es/premium/ I own a prime in Green an is a great pen, very smooth and wet medium nib, all metal body and cap, an for less tan 13€. I have plans to buy another prime in purple, is georgeus!!!

Quite true! I found a nice Spanish-made Montblanc, and it's one of my favorites. Delicate, but elegant.

very nice and discrete pen :)

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
