any colour :)

100 bottles, one for each of Diamine's standard colours.

If something is worth doing, it is worth doing to excess

Now I think I can wait buying more ink at least until Diamine releases their new boxed set in the autumn….

Oh yes. The Bilberry is lovely. From memory a little hard to clean sometimes, but a nice ink.

Now I should review them all, shouldn't I? :-D

Yes, reviews with color-true writing samples would be greatly appreciated. I've got several of their inks but am not adverse to having additional Diamine colors. I've been very pleased with general characteristics of the brand.

I always get a kick out of these "no affiliation" notations when it's blatantly obvious the poster has absolutely nothing to do with the brand, company, etc. beyond being a customer. It must be a feel-good/feel-important thing. So I'll note up front that nothing I write here on this forum is influenced by any financial-gain motivation.

We need comparisons between the different colors... In groups of 2... That would make 4950 reviews... Enjoy!!

Only have two Diamine bottles, but those I have I really like. (Blue Black, Sherwood Green)

This does cry out for a project of some sort... reviews of each seems like a stretch but writing samples maybe

My idea was writing samples of all of them, ordered by hue and all done with the same pen(s), to have a single comparison of the lot.

Does this one become part of the new set, or is it a standalone colour? They don't have it yet, of course. I got their entire current catalogue.

It's a stand-alone colour and I've an 80ml bottle but I assume it will be in the 30ml as well. Shouldn't be too long before it's available for buying. I don't know what's in the new set - yet.

Swap you a sample for any other Diamine colour? (And I do mean any :))

Hi,

I reviewed ten 'keystone' Blue inks, then did comparisons amongst them. The reviews were interesting enough, but not the comparisons - too much rote work, and not enough fun.

So yes indeed, let us have a passel of Reviews, then we can gently request specific comparisons.

Bye,

S1

These are the 30 ml bottles, so 3 litres of ink in total. The prices are on the web site: I got a small discount and free UK shipping.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
