Actually, that looks rather nice.

Not quite my cup of tea, but nice nonetheless...

Too many pens; too little writing.

nice set together with the ledger and mousemat.

That apart from the fact that I am not fond of my current 2000, but I seem to be a minority here.

This set is a handout if you buy a Mercedes? Or could anyone order one from his local Mercedes dealer?

Well, I saw the penholder, the mouse pad and the table mat online, but not the pen (yet).

Edit: actually all the S-class accessories are online except for the L2k

I love my L2k, but one of the things I love about it is that it is light in my hand, and I've always suspected that the stainless version would be too heavy for me.

That being said, if I could actually afford a Mercedes, I'm sure I'd be all over this like fruit flies on a banana. Because.

Yes. Me too!

But many times I see people in such cars who just seem to be quite illiterate... :ninja:

I think that Sailor or Pilot did something similar with Lexus for their cars: I remember seeing pens that were branded w/Lexus colors, so I guess if you bought a Lexus, you'd get the pen w/a similar color to your car.

Crumbs, that's a beauty. But agree, might be a bit heavy.

this is really nice! i assume this one is only avalaible in Germany?

Look for something, find something else, and realize that what you've found is more suited to your needs than what you thought you were looking for.

Want: Montblanc 146 Burgundy F | Need: What do you think?

Rolls Royce includes a matched set of Conway Stewarts in the glove compartment/console of their cars. Bentley has the Bentley by Tibaldi pen. I guess Mercedes has to step up to the plate.

Well the L2k is not included with the S-class. You can buy it separately for €350 from the German online store, but it seems to be Germany only.

There would be a few German makes for Mercedes to choose from. Including a MB with the MB maybe

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
