Hi,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Elliot aka ElColt and I'm new here.

I've been using fountain pens since I was eight or nine years old and in fact, I still have that first Waterman fountain pen. It's what prompted me to join this network actually. I would love to know which model it is as I can't find a picture of it anywhere. I will post my photos on the Waterman pen forum in a little while.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
