A spur of writing to fulfil my sweet tooth...

One of my very few arrows in my quiver of whimsy.

At first I thought it might be time for an insulin shot but I pondered a bit and my mind changed.

It was a wise move to put you and your obviously endless talent in charge of this magnificent club.

I stink at romance but I am the Shakespeare of pr0n. D.H. Lawrence and me. Mmmm. BUT I don't think the mods around here would find that amusing, so I am going to have to temper my offerings. I have two speeds: hawt and dull. Alas. Comes from being a Gemini.

An example of my dull offerings:

Alas, my talent seems otherwise useless. Maybe I should become a writer instead instead of writing as a hobby.

I'm dismayed and elated to see so many people jumping into this, though! At first I doubted that anyone'd participate (as writing romantic letters is a bit of an embarrassment for me), but I'm glad I put this thread up. Hopefully more'd write face-flamingly shameless and sweet love letters on here.

You struck a chord within us. We all long to know love, giving and receiving. We think we can put such beauty to words, even as an exercise, but thoughtful words will fail us. We must become ourselves, we must write with our hearts. 'Tis the path that leads to the Nectar.

Said Maestro Gorecki:

"What you give,

write it down and send.

"And what you receive,

carve it in a rock."

Whipped off this quick missive on the way to work. Short, heartfelt, and thoroughly disturbing. :D

This ink is the closest I have to the great YB. It's Rubinato Inchiostro Viola.

Adding to the stalker line.....

Since poor Lapis once commented that he had no use for pink ink. So I had to write it in a blue ink.

Oh no, another nail in the coffin of my beloved childhood memories of Sesame Street.

It now seems a worse place to live than Elm St.

Sesame Street kids are no longer the New Kids on the Block and they moved over to Avenue Q (not far from Fremont Street) Soon, they'll grow up and buy a house in the Burbs.

Are we afraid of the topic? Puppet pr0n doesn't tickle my romantic fancy. Maybe I read the topic's Rules to literally. Maybe I'm too serious. Maybe I'm boring. I love love letters. Are they here?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
