Hello,

I am a fountain pen enthusiast from Wisconsin with a focus on everyday use and practical minimalist designs. I have benefited a lot from the reviews and post in the various fora of FPN and hope to contribute in a similar vein.

Best,

KV

Welcome !

I love th everyday fountain pens. We use to call them "school pens".

Check out some of the fountain pens from India. Many have NO

filling mechanism. One merely fills the barrel with ink and screws

the pen together again. An eyedropper pen is really "minimalist".

Which ones do you have, so far ?

Welcome. We are glad you joined in the adventure. For everyday use, practical and minimalist. Sure sound like Lamy Studio or Lamy 2000 to me!

Indeed, an eye dropper is truly minimalist (thanks for the reminder). I do remember some of the pens from my childhood in India from Camlin. They would eventually turn leaky and messy. In middle and high school the Chinese Hero pens were considered 'high end' pens.

Over ten years ago I started with a Waterman Phileas followed by a Lamy Safari and so on....and then the Caran d'ache Dunas. All of them have steel nibs and are good for everyday use but I currently do not have any eyedroppers (I do have a PelikanM400 and a Waterman Charleston that I seldom use). I have recently acquired a Kaweco Special AL.
