Nope! Not unless I put pressure on the nib, then there's ghosting. Normal writing is okay!

A little late on this one, but I recently bought lined filler paper at Dollar General, the store brand, made in INDONESIA, and it's the only budget/school paper so far that has worked well with my fp. Using a Pilot Heritage 91 (SF), with Waterman Mysterious Blue (blue/black) ink.

 

Paper characteristics are - not too fibrous, so nib doesn't feel scratchy or like it's catching the paper; feels a little thicker/stiffer than most filler paper; minimal ghosting, so you can write on both sides if you don't mind that; less than 10 seconds dry time, so minimal smudging; it was $1.00!

looked all over for brazilian notebooks & couldn't find any;bought "Midwood Brands" made in india, & "Dolgencorp,LLC" made in indonesia,ruled notebooks at several dollar stores in the school supplies areas ;

both have performed satisfactorily for general useage;both were about a dollar in price;
