Hello From London, Uk.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I think it's about time that I joined a fountain pen forum as I seem to be amassing a collection :) Enjoy sending snail mail - gives me an excuse to use different pens and inks! I have a couple of Visconti pens which so far seem to be my favourite - love the "dreamtouch" nibs. Hope to chat about pens and increase my knowledge....as well as see lots of pen pics!!

Dean :)

Welcome. I to have a liking for Visconti and have a couple of Wall St Le models, although I do have and use other pens to. I do like variety and reading this medium of others experiences of various makes and models. I enjoy the learning experience. Good to be in touch with like minded people.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I currently only have an Opera and then a Salvidor Dali Visconti. Fountain pens are fairly new to me though, so thought I should start using a forum to expand my knowledge and have fun at the same time. :)

Hello and Welcome from Filkins!

I don't have any Italian pens, well save one which I dislike so much it acts as a paperweight!

But, you are in the right place for finding out about a myriad of beautiful pens, not to mention inks, paper, pen cases, writing slopes, lighting, cleaners, so if you have a spare £miilion or 2 you should be okay! :D

Funny you mention that, I currently "need" more ink, cases, pens and paper! I've not even considered writing slopes or good lighting....will have to be go on the very long and expensive list! Thanks for that! :eureka:

Oh no, not expensive at all, really, can't cost more than a penny, mind you, you are in London so yes, it is quite possible that your list is expensive! Me, I just use scrap paper for lists! :lticaptd:

Welcome !

The objective has always been enjoyment of fountain pens and their use.

Let's not exaggerate. One £miilion is enough. One can always sell a kidney

or two.

Ah. Paraphernalia. Love it. Imagine that I didn't use to know what was micro-mesh :D Let me know if you need pointers to any shops for spending your money on strange things....

I am no longer very active on FPN but feel free to message me. Or send me a postal letter!

Welcome to a fellow Londoner! Hope you enjoy your stay.

I don't have any Italian pens, but I have used a British one (Conway Stewart). I had an eye for a beautiful Montegrappa a few years ago, but when I wrote with it it felt as if I was writing with a baton. I do miss just being able to hop into a shop and buy BB stationeries.

Welcome... Snail mail.. I miss those days.... I know there is a movement somewhere where strangers wrote to each other just for the fun of it. Is there similar movement here?

Will send you a message as would be good to write to another UK person. Currently most of the people I write to are based in the US. Couldn't pass up any information on pen/writing accessories shopping! :)

Thanks! I do love some of the designs of Montegrappa pens, but have the feeling if I got one it would end up being an object to look at and not use!

I took part in InCoWriMo (International Writing and Correspondence Month) in Feb I believe. I still write to a few people so if anyone is looking for someone to correspond with feel free to message me :)

Apologies if this reply comes out messy...not sure if I'm using all the quote functions correctly!:)

Yep. Creative Expressions - The Write Stuff - Snail mail. Put your request for pen pals on there.

You're in the right place for finding great vintage pens! The Brits know what they're doing.

The ones I've purchased from you guys are some of my best choices. Welcome!!
