Bexley Deluxe. Fell in love with this pen as my one and only orange and never looked back. Took me 6 years to afford it and another 3 years to find it !

Gsteer - that's a beautiful collection of orange pens.

How do you like the Ipsilon? I've had my eye on one for a while.

Thanks :)

Guilty admission time - the Ipsilon is uninked. I picked it up last year when a UK vendor had a very nice sale on, and, apart from getting to Canada haven't used it as yet.

It'll be inked this year though as I'm 'finally' getting around to my Blue vs Orange pen / ink battle, so at that point they'll be a full review.

I'm getting better though, it's only one of two (I think!) uninked pens I've got.

Thanks for getting back to me. I look forward to your review - but I don't know if I can wait literally OR figuratively.

That orange Ipsilon is really calling my name - if you know what I mean :)

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me twice; damn

There goes that fox again.

Here are my Orange pens:

post-101566-0-28093300-1373083476.jpg

L to R: No-name fountain pen, Jean-Pierre Lepine ballpoint/roller, Delta Dolce Vita slim, Waterman (plastic, not sure which line), Caran d'Ache Metal collection ballpoint, Monteverde Arista Crystal. I love orange, but I did not realize I had so many orange pens until I took this picture! I can't even remember where or when I got the 'no name' and Waterman (a loooong time ago), must be the sign of a true orange-lover ;) Thank you for starting this post!

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Recently acquired this Pelikan vibrant orange M600. Smooth as silk and always ready to write, as are all Pelikans. Love it! Have had trouble finding a virile orange ink that I really like though. So far, they are dim and faded looking--like the Edelstein Mandarin. Was really disappointed in this one. Would appreciate any suggestions.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
