Omas 360 Vintage Turquoise

Great review of a great pen. I have a red vintage and it's a peach.

I love the 360s - I also have an Ebony and a Lucens LE. Unusual, wonderful pens and, as you say, Omas nibs are amongst the very best...

(Here's a photo of the Lucens and the Ebony along with some of my other Italians - taken before the vintage arrived...)

Thanks for sharing... those are absolutely marvelous. I see some celluloid Paragon designs there!

Good eye! There's a Burkina Ruthenium 80th Anniversary LE, along with new style Milord and old style Paragon in Brown Arco. A new-style Wild Milord and Green Arco Paragon have since joined them (along with a Lucens Ogiva if we're going all celluloid crazy)!

My favourite is the Green Paragon! Really nice!

Congratulations! I personally just got three new Omas pens, one is a secret not-launched model, another is a Black Old-style Paragon with Extra Flessible and another is a 360 LUCENS!! I am lucky to find a Lucens...

You can't go wrong with an old style 360. I am adding a 360 in burkina celluloid and a 360 demonstrator which are planned as next months purchases

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Great! I just bought a 360 Lucens for my collection. That's one you won't see a review of. It's sealed in shrink wrap...

Aren't you going to ink it?

Unfortunately, no... I now have a few Omas pens, all strictly collectible items.

I may ink them someday, when I am less fond of them...

I just had to have major work done on my car, otherwise the reappearance of this thread would be a bit more painful than it already is.

The unique design and the amazing teal colour was a completely irresistible combination for me ;)

Beautiful pen... Bryant had one of these on 'summer special' and on it's way via FEDEX to me now.

Can't wait ... it'll be my first OMAS

I love that this pen is getting the appreciation it deserves. Truly among the most gorgeous out there. I use it everyday. It's a joy to write with.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
