Hi, I'm order # 1190 and I sent my payment in Wednesday 20 February. I know you all are busy so I'm not expecting my invoice right away, but I just wanted to see if you could confirm that you received my payment. Thanks!

For anyone still waiting, my order 1198 showed up yesterday in great shape.

Thanks to all involved for making this happen!

I'm getting hurt feelings. My order #1138 has not yet arrived.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Still waiting for the post to do its work on #1130... Sometimes things just take a little longer...

Hopefully it's a consolation for you... ALL stuff that I order or people send to me as a gift takes an average three weeks to reach me... If it's two weeks, it's blazingly fast. Only start to worry when delivery time exceeds six weeks...

Mine arrived yesterday. This is the first time I have been able to post. It seems a major storm down here took out the net for a time. Tonight there is actually a starry night.

Thanks to all the players (aka volunteers).

1086? Since I ordered, I've taken a new job and will be moving, and I, unabashedly, and simply, want the ink. Could I have someone from my old place of employment simply forward me the ink? - why, yes, I, could. Do I want to wait an extra couple days for this to happen? -no, I don't. Do I want to ink pens immediately and see what joy and frustration they give me? - yes, I do.

Well, best check the new topic on inks - we'll try to give updates there.

I've taken into account, with the messages, that Shawn can package and send about 20 orders a week, at most... :)

Warm regards, Wim

  • 2 weeks later...

Do you ship to Japan?

Yes of course. Via USPS, first class mail (a little slow, but cheapest option).

Thought I sent this earlier, but I don't see it here. Do you ship to Japan? If so, at what cost?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
