Fpn Inks - Ready For Ordering

Admin

I just realized that I sent my request from an e-mail address that is different than the one I have listed with FPN. I sent an e-mail with the details in case that was a problem! (sorry!)

Not to worry, we are working on that - we need to work out a few bugs.

That's always the way it ends up working out - bugs crop up no matter how much you've checked it beforehand. Not to worry.

As to the PayPal email address, there may have been a typo in the name - the first 20 invoices or so were all hand drafted. FYI, the ghe gmail address is not the PayPal address - we are trying to keep the ordering email separate from the PayPal stuff. If you did pay to the gmail address, the money will be returned, and new information is coming asap.

There was no email address mentioned in the invoice spreadsheet, and the email's message text ended up being only my zip code.

I don't know how to un-PayPal money sent out. Please PM me if I need to do something (especially if it'll help hit that first shipping window).

PayPal allows multiple email addresses to be associated with a single account. That makes it MUCH easier for payments to those other validated addresses to be tied to your main account. I'd suggest adding your fpninks email address as another valid email address to your PayPal account so that it will end up working.

Thanks again for all of the hard work. Most appreciated!

Just to confirm, as I'm getting a little confused here with mention of typos, incorrect email addresses, etc., I received an invoice from FPNinks @ gmail.com with instructions to use Paypal address

- fpn@*****.*** -

and received confirmation that moneys were sent to

- Wim G******* -

This email did not contain a PDF format invoice. Am I good to go? or do we need to redo this transaction?

Hi Dex,

Yes. that is correct - currently using my personal PayPal account until we have set up the FPN Foundation, early next year. We're working on that. I have also added the gmail account as a payment option, but in order to keep things clear, for a good administration, we prefer people to use the fpn@.... PayPal account.

Without a company, foundation or private bank account, over here we cannot set up a PayPal account, hence the temporary solution.

The first invoices were sent out in a format that not everybody can read - everybody will receive a new invoice, including those who have paid already. The latter for information only, of course :).

I will remove the private information from your post, BTW, as I don't particularly like this to be available in the public domain, for security reasons. I hope you don't mind too much.

Warm regards, Wim

OK, thanks for the update.

Firstly, I want to apologize for posting the private info, that was really stupid of me. I should have known better.

I will consider my order paid and await shipping confirmation, and the PDF copy of the invoice.

Cheers, and thanks guys for all your hard work! I'm sure the whole FPN community appreciates your efforts.

Sorry guys, but unfortunately it is a manual process, and it takes some time to get through the orders, and to fix any bugs in the system.

When the orders came in, thick and fast, we found we had to redesign the process, and that is almost done. Now for updating the orders....

You will get your invoices and confirmation asap, provided you have sent shipping address information as well.

And thank you for your kind words!

Admin is up-to-date, except for the calculation of shipping costs. Once that is done, the next batch of invoices will be prepared and sent out.

We have been busy with this all day actually....

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
