It feels much more 'robust' and writes much broader than a 0.7 to me???  Normally mechanical pencils do not take kindly to my 'heavy hand' when I try to make a line I can at least see.  Normally I'm much more of a Staedtler Mars Technico 2mm lead holder kind of a guy

I first used lead holders in school and even then thought they were 😎

 

My 'Shopping List Pen' is normally a Pilot G2 EX  (A cheaper version of the Pilot G2 Limited here in the UK/EU?? only with a gel like section)

I'm still using the clearance special, AU$1.43, plastic fantastic Milan Compact 0.7mm its a fill of Pilot Neox 2B. Its rounded-kinda Lamy 2k-shape got me thinking...

 

I went looking for pencils that are not drafting pencils, not skinny and not techy looking.  I wanted pencils that look as pretty as my pens. And feel as good in the hand.

 

And I found a few. OK, more than a few. And went a bit nuts. And still have a wish list... There's a whole new avenue down there in the warren.

I used a 'freebie' box pencil that I 'picked up' at a conference years ago...unfortunately it has the hotels name on...so I'm 'bang to 'writes'  🤣  if charges are ever bought.  They deserved it. For such a 'posh' hotel they served the first (cold) 'Sliders' I had ever eaten,  for lunch...and the last. How to prevent hundreds of local people from ever returning to your hotel in one go..... 🤔    🤣 🤣 🤣

Received a dozen Try-Rex pencils today. Can't wait to start using them 😁

Today made some notes with a automatic pencil which was by Father's. Dad used to go on overseas trips to Europe and had business with various chemical companies.

This pencil has a company name ROHNER inscribed on it. One of those give aways companies presented to visiting clients.

 

On the cap is inscribed CARAN DACHE, a lozenge with CDA in it and the words PLAQUE OR G FABR SUISSE.

 

Quite a comfortable instrument to write with, the hexagonal barrel gives a firm grip. The lead retracting mechanism works well.

 

Don't think it is particulry valuable, just a nice family keepsake.
