When I go to the web-site, it only gives a link to his ebay shop.

I assume he has to pay ebay fees if you buy from there, so is it possible to buy from him directly or can you only do that by emailing him?

I believe his site is just a "site" & his inventory is available from only the Ebay listings. Last year when I first wanted to order I believe there was an explanation that sales were only thru the Ebay site but perhaps I do not remember correctly. What I wanted was available on Ebay so that was all I needed.

I've also had great experiences with Rolf. Just picked up a Pelikan M200 Cafe Creme for a price that beat anything in the States. Friendly service, fair prices and rapid shipping. A great guy to do business with.

I just bought my Pelikan M805 from missing-pen. The order was shipped super-fast (I think on the same day when I completed the purchase). The packing was tank-proof, and Rolf also threw in a small bottle of Pelikan ink, and some fabulous gummy-bears. The whole purchase cycle was excellent, and I look forward to buying more German fountain pens from Rolf. By the way, I love my new M805. Not is it smooth, but you don't actually hear any contact or scratching with paper when you write!

I agree Rolf is great. I ordered a Lamy 2000 with an OBB nib from him on June 5, 2015. It arrived on June 19; two weeks from the order-- but, most of that time was spent by the U.S. Post Office.

I would buy from him again (despite the poor choice of names i.e. "missing-pen."

I can definitely add to the positive experience...i purchased several times from Rolf, both online and face to face on a penshow.

Quick contact, fast shipping, and he is a very nice person too.

And you always get Gummy Bears :)

For those Canadian orders from missing-pen, could you give me a ballpark estimate of custom/tax duties for someone in Ontario? I'm thinking of purchasing a m805.

Thanks

john

I don't get hit by customs much, but when I do, it's usually about 15% of the price of the pen.

Hey all I just received my first order from Rolf (an M605 Blue Black with an M nib) and I cannot recommend him enough! He is not only a pleasure to work with but every part of the process was flawless. Plus the pen arrived to NY perfectly packed in less than a week with box, papers, completed warranty card and all the good stuff. Here are some unboxing photos after I removed the tags and played with the pen for a bit :)

Overall very pleasing experience with Rolf. I actually just made an account on here just so I could voice my praises. I ordered a Pelikan m800 blue-black with a B nib. It came from Germany to New York in less than a week.

It came in this packaging:

Opened the package to find these inside:

And finally the pen!!

He even threw in free gummy bears and a bottle of Diamine Racing Green ink!

Will definitely buy from again!

Oh dear, this is getting very repetitive, but I must say that Rolf is simply the best e-Bay/online pen supplier I have ever dealt with. The prices are great and his attention to detail exceptional. I have never been disappointed in anything I have ordered from him. The German nib woes seem to pass him by like magic!

Can't say enough good things-- or I could, but I won't because everybody else has!

R.

PS. I strongly recommend contacting him to see if he has what you are looking for. He has a TON of stuff that doesn't get listed due, I assume, to time.

My experiences with Mr. Rolf:

Absolutely recommend due to professionalism, patience and friendly treatment in each situation.

Don't need another Pelikan adviser & supplier.

I try to buy lamy pens only from Rolf ( I had bought about 15 pens). I recommend him as a great seller. He has a wide range of Lamy pens, rare and old models, fast delivery!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
