Experience With Missing-Pen.de

I just received the new M205 green highlighter (so bright and green and pretty!) which I bought from Rolf on eBay. He shipped it right away and he packaged it so that it (and the Haribo bears) came halfway around the world without a scratch. I couldn't be happier.

I have been emailing with Rolf and he has been great to talk too. I haven't got the pen yet as I have asked him to delay shipping as I am travelling, but I am expecting no problems.

Today I got a mail stating that Rolf withdraws from his ink sales and concentrates on selling pens.

The ink shop will be continued by http://www.schreibstoff-shop.de/, which is right now just starting up.

Thank you Rolf for your great service in the past.

I wonder if the special Diamine Green will move accross too.

I can't read German well, and neither will Google as the message is put up as an image, so if there is a German who could translate for us....

And Rolf is great to deal with, no issues with my shipment to Canada.

I'm also going to agree with everyone here!

Rolf is great to work and super professional. I am waiting for my M800, and he has done a wonderful job dealing with my concerns!

Cheers to Rolf and his sunny German mornings B)

About a month ago, I bought a Pelikan M805 (blue/black, with new silver top on cap) from him. Great price, great service, and a great guy (from all indications). He's sure to get more of my money.

I got that too, says a lot about a person when they can see the bright side, in the middle of winter. I don't fault his incomplete web presence at all. I just put myself in his place and know I wouldn't even know where to begin. It is much more valuable to me to be able to actually contact a persoon and get a response back saying "Yes I have that" or "No I don't." There is an art to doing business and being a person on line, and to Rolf it obviously come naturally.

I also have a very good experience buying from Rolf

I have bought several vintage pelikans and nibs from him with satisfaction.

Descriptions on the missing-pen site are always very accurate, not over emphasized and quality of goods received reflects the descriptions, pictures and money paid.

Rolf is not cheap, but I would say fair, reassuringly consistent in the quality/cost ratio.

Besides that, as many have said, he is extremely helpful and easy to reach. Just write him an email and he will answer. Too many times on the bay I have the uncomfortable feeling that the seller is elusive. Not Rolf.

Rolf is present, cooperative, ready with advise and friendly and receiving his parcels is a treat.

He will sometime send you a 'promotional' message when answering you (he will however never send you an unsolicited mail) telling you about his new arrivals and very politely asking you to put in a good word on the pen forums about him.

I am not sure he knows about his thread...!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
