I have never bought from their website direct, since, I can buy for lesser money from their auctions.

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

Did not know Taizo had a site, but have bought from his Ebay listings at least 6 times and always great service and honest advertising.

As above: I didn't know about this website, but my one eBay transaction with him went very smooth. Recommended.

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development

I have bought some pens from his ebay auctions.

Ebay have screwed up the transaction with a technical issue which means I can't checkout.

But Taizo has been very helpful in understanding and in resolving.

Pens about to be shipped - will let you know feedback on arrival.

the members of our pen club here in the philippines have had very good dealings with engeika. very professional and prompt (it's our postal service that causes the rare screw-up.)

Check out my blog and my pens

Like others here, haven't bought from the website, but they're an excellent eBay merchant, time and again, and the prices are good even if you're buying from inside Japan so I know he's not gouging anyone. I just wish he carried the Sailor Red Brown Ink (in case he's reading this).

I umm... just email Taizo now if I need anything!

But bargains can be had on his eBay listngs, especially on some of the Sailor and Japanese pens. I have always been impressed by his reliable shipping (quite fast via EMS) and service. English is not his first langage, but that aside, he's a fantastic seller and many people have bought things from him from Iroshizuku inks to pens!

I didn't know he had a site either.Suggest contacting him via email or eBay about his website and if he replies to the affirmative (it does look authentic, let us know)!

His website is very new.I got an email from him on the 9th July advertising its existence. I have bought numerous Sailor pens from him via ebay. All transactions were handled promptly and deliveries well wrapped. (No association with him other than a satisfied customer)

I would say "Think Of Japanese Fountain Pen Think Of Taizo(Engeika)".

I've lost count of the number of pens and other stuff that I had bought from Taizo's eBay store through all these years, but it's easily more than 25 times. Service is top notch and delivery is super-fast

His store is the first one I'll check whenever I log in to eBay. My most recent transaction with him was the purchase of a Platinum Galaxy Starlight FP, which was a grail pen for me and which I had unsuccessfully bid on at least 6 times in the past. The pen that I had won in the auction came fitted with a Fine nib, but he graciously acceded to my request for a Medium nib instead without question :D

I am also not aware of this website until it was highlighted here. This also means more trouble for my bank account :bonk::ltcapd:

I agree this is a reliable, very responsible and responsive to questions. I have ordered many times, and can highly recommend them.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
