Signum Pens

Had a B nib Ornamenta once that was a smooth writer but way too light and narrow for my preferences. Be interesting to see what comes out and how the pricing runs.

HI,

I'm not familiar with how the pricing structure used to be, but I certainly understand that the world is small, people travel, comoparison shop etc. My goal is to LAUNCH Signum in a way that gets it noticed. Certainly with the internet, one can't be greedy. It's too obvious. I want to offer Signum pens to people at a price that is fair, and at one that they could visit Italy, see Signum, and say, okay, I did just fine!

I hope you will like the new collections that I am bringing in!

One of the most beautiful pens I have.

I also own one exactly like yours. Bought it from Richard Binder last year.

It's fitted with a wet steel M nib that writes more like a B.

Now it's filled up with the infamous Baystate Blue and I'd say... they're a perfect match. Both pen and ink jump right out at you

The only flaw with this pen is the section collar that holds the nib and feed together has a few cracks which leaks. It was already that way when I received the pen, first noticed when I saw some ink traces inside the barrel while trying to fill it up for the second time. Can't find a matching replacement collar from the local pen repairman, so an attempt to glue it together was undertaken but lately it seemed to have started leaking again. But otherwise this is one superb pen well worth the price I paid for it.

...and I have one in blue, too! :cloud9:

It was given to me by a very generous pen friend :D and it writes beautifully!

It and my teal Orione are among the 'stars' of my pen collection as they combine beauty with beautiful writing

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
