Hello all,

I am seeking for the experience of using Safety Fountain Pen. Is there anyone who have a Waterman Safety 42 or other models like this one?

Thank you.

I would like to see a review of the Aurora Ipsilon Fountain Pen in Sterling Silver.

I mention the Sterling Silver specifically as in a Sterling Silver pen, the quality and finish of the Silver is a major part of the whole Pen experience.

Thanks.

Stipula firenze-new york.

What sort of pen is this?

Greetings,

I have created this topic for those of you who would like to request specific pen reviews from FPN members. Basically, this is how it is going to work, you can request a review for a specific pen model or manufacturer here. All you need to do is reply to this topic and hopefully one of you can post a pen review in the area where we normally post reviews. Periodically I will purge out the requests that have been fulfilled, this will save space and make this area less cluttered and easy to find.

I hope that this will make your requests for specific pen reviews easier to fulfill.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email or PM me. If you PM me, chances are that you will get a reply rather quickly.

Please enjoy and Thanks for your support!!!

I would love to see a review of the new Visconti plunger-filler by someone who is familiar with the old Sheaffer plunger-fillers of the 1930s.

Thanks,

Hi, This is a great forum! I'd like to see reviews of "The New Swift Pen" by De La Rue London, and Swan Model 33. I'm thinking of buying them. Sorry if they've already been done - could someone let me have the link please?

Parker Vacumatic

Why:

It seems this is really the snob collectors pen. No reviews, high prices, great pics but further nothing. No reviews to be found anywhere. I might be looking in the wrong place....but on FPN I found most reviews that I required.

[EDIT: Search is your friend. There are 3 reviews--check the index.]

Dear Savage,

Your Alphabetized pen reviews are messed up. The Manufacturers' names appear as computer language codes. Please help! Thanks. Ron C

[EDIT: This has been corrected. The index has been thoroughly cleaned up and there's now a quick reference by letter.]

I would love to see a review of the Hero 300A in any of it varieties. Especially the quality of the gold nib, and comfort of the writing experience. Thanks!!

FP Ink Orphanage-Is an ink not working with your pens, not the color you're looking for, is never to see the light of day again?!! If this is you, and the ink is in fine condition otherwise, don't dump it down the sink, or throw it into the trash, send it to me (payment can be negotiated), and I will provide it a nice safe home with love, and a decent meal of paper! I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
