How to post pictures on FPN

Oh hey, that is nifty. So that is preferred to using external hosts for posting an image on FPN? (here I just created a Flickr account in the last week or two to be able to post image here). Is the to limit to the number of images a user can upload?

It is..No..that is a personal choice for me it is convenient and there

is nothing here that I would not mind leaving.

The only limitation to Upload is the file size..which is 100 KB

per image. As long as you don't exceed..your good to go..

It is actually 1 MB max size, although it may have been set to 2 MB these days, I'd have to check ;).

When I use the Upload feature, if I go above 100 KB tells me it has to 100 or less.

If this has change, please let me know. Thank you.

Fred

It always was more than 100KB; it was 1 MB, and it currently is 2 MB.

It's a pleasure, Fred.

As to the 1.95 MB - that's old MBs. These days 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes.

Can i suggest imgur. You don't have to register, but simply upload your pics, and then copy the link. Whatever you post there is available always (or at least as long the imgur company exists or if you specifically ask them to be deleted), so it avoids the problem of pics here on FPN being deleted

I still can't seem to load pictures form my flickr account to a fpn post. Is there anyone here willling to explain to me how to do this? It will take plain english as I have tried to decipher what is here and am having no success. I would greatly appreciate a litte one on one assistance.

It's not intuitive :/

Ok do this. Click on the share button(middle one) in the bottom right of your pic. Select "html" under where it says "code" at the top, and also select "html" at the bottom. You'll see this:

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/34372195@N02/14882100818" title="P8280028 by Doctor Codfish, on Flickr"><img src=" https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5567/14882100818_1ed52f95fc_o.jpg" width="4288" height="3216" alt="P8280028"></a>

Now copy the url part that i've highlighted in bold ending in jpg. Then in your post here, move your cursor to where you want the image to go and click on the image button and enter the url.

This is the result

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
