Wtt: Sheaffer Snorkel Xf

Hello,

I have found that the nib of my Sheaffer snorkel is too fine for my liking, and I am hoping to trade for a more broad nib (F or M). It was sold to me as a "F" nib, but I would call it XF. I can write some TINY characters with this nib. I would describe the pen as overall very good condition, some very fine marks of general wear on the cap and nib, no dings in the cap. Small engraving on the barrel reads "HNG". Pen fills wonderfully, squirts a lot of ink. Nib is a bit toothy, but I believe this is simply due to it's XF-ness. It writes well on good paper.

I have a Sheaffer Craftsman with this exact behavior: very very fine lines, a bit toothy. I finally bought a loupe (just the cheap one from Radio Shack) and took a peek at this nib, the tines were misaligned. I bent one tine down and the other up, using my thumbnails. Took a lot longer than I thought it would, I was probably being too cautious, but in the end, it evened out (kept peeking with the loupe to see if anything changed). The nib is nice and smooth, and writes a normal fine now. If you have a loupe, or even a big magnifying glass, check that nib, it might be misaligned.

EDIT: the pic with the nib in it finally loaded, disregard previous comment, it's just a really fine nib, from the looks of things.
