WOW! Talk about lucky! Mine hasn't even shipped yet, but that's OK I suppose.

I'm waiting patiently.

One of the first 300 pens (M nib) available through charity auction.

(See details here)

HI,

I'm one of the lucky persons who is getting two pens from the first 300 pens. One Fine and one Medium.

Since I don't really need two pens and since I wanted to do something for Compassion

I thought I offer the pen with M nib up for auction. All the money (except shipping costs $ 8.00) will go to Compassion, a charity organisation that helps poor children all over the world with food, clothing and an education. See: www.compassion.com

So, If you can't wait, please check my post for this auction (click here). The pen will be forwarded to the winner as soon as it arrives.

This your chance to get one early and help some poor children

Thanks,

Bert from Holland

That pen is very nice looking! I might just have to buy one myself ph34r.gif...

Need a pen repaired or a nib re-ground? I'd love to help you out.

Blah, I was trying to have all the pens out before anybody got theirs. Sorry for the delays folks!

I have shipped about 60% of the orders as of today. I am going to pull a marathon and see if I can get all the pens mailed by 8pm Taipei time tomorrow. If not, all pens should be out my door by wednesday, and i'll open up the 20-30 leftover pens to the waitlist on Friday (they will be my little beta testers for another project)

My spreadsheet is open and shows a tracking number for your order, so I guess I sent it out in my big batch today. People whose orders I mailed out Friday and today should expect an email from me tonight.

Thank you for all the wonderful photos, I can't wait to receive mine, which just shipped today!

For those who have received their pen and live in the US, how long did it take for you to get it from the time you got the email?

The OP is across the formosa strait from me, so it only took maybe 6 days. I am seeing some of my US packages being out for delivery though, so maybe 7-10 days for USA orders?

Also, some of my UK shipments are in processing, but not yet delivered

Somebody asked about size. One link mentioned here indicates the pen is a bit thicker than the Lamy Vista but is otherwise similar in size. My understanding is that the Pelikan this best compares to is the M600. I say that having only seen that mentioned in one of the numerous other threads.

Shipping confirmation in this AM's email says my order (#60) was on a plane to California two days ago. What with the Holiday and no postal service today, it should be in my hands tomorrow or the day after. Can't wait. Thanks for all your work Mark.

Nah, it's pretty similar in size to a Pelikan m800. In fact, it's so similar that the spanner wrench included can be used on the Twsbi or the Pelikan m800/1000.

It's a big enough pen that I feel most comfortable not posting the pen. My other pens I generally post (Lamy Vista/Pilot M90/Sailor 1911m).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
