Already been converted? Dear egregious fellow, grow hardheaded in jejeune katharses! Let me now oppose pernicious quasi-religious scamps, those underhand vicious wily xenophobes. Youthful zealot!

When you're good at it, it's really miserable.

Hey Fuddlestack - you're a bit of a wordsmith...I need to reach for the dictionary now to understand bits of those :hmm1:

A fun wee breaktime task indeed - thanks Arthur!

Too hard for me but my son came up with this:

All boastful creatures don't ever fly great heights. Ignorant jockeys kindle lovingly my new obnoxious parrot. Quests related sovereignly to unkempt vermin will x-ray your zits.

What do you think I use? ;) Well, sort-of: I have a couple of dictionary programs, Chambers and Merriam-Webster, and usually while I'm browsing those I think of something else. I'll confess to zaftig, though - I only knew it as German before seeing it in M-W. It must be a German import to the US.

I enjoyed trying these things out - great time-wasters. I shall resort to them in meetings.

A blue Conklin drips every fribble green herbal ink, just knowing lazy men now order Parker Quink, realizing subtle tones unknown very wisely x-raying you zelousness.

May become my new auto signature line! :)

I have to confess that I still have my 'big dic' by my side on the shelf in my office. It's a Collins. I like to turn pages now and then...

This is pretty cool! I'll have to remember this next time I'm covering an English class-

After bickering cautiously, David eagerly forgot Gillian's handbag in jest. Knowing lady manners, neither one pondered questions. Realizing subtle, turbulent undertones, very warily x-raying yesterday's zenith.

Antipodean bannisters climb dizzily, ever-forking Gordian horrors in jagged knotty labyrinths, making no obvious paths, queasily rearing skyward to unsettling vortices where xeric yaks zigzag.

Apathetic Bohemian culture despaired easily, falling gradually hellward into jaded, kvetching, lugubrious miasma. No other preeminent quality remained, save troubled, unedifyingly vulgar Weltschmerz - xenophobic, yearning zestlessness.

This is fun!

A big Collins dictionary excels Fowler's grammar handbook in juxtaposing knowledge. Meaning no overwhelming prejudice, qualitatively related, such tomes underscore vivdly why xeroxes oh bugger i give up.

  • 2 weeks later...

Acceptance behooves caddish demons; eternity forever gaining. Heroes iconize journeymen, knowing lesser men now offer peace. Quest, reaching sanctity tomorrow. Unlike villains whose xenophobia yields zealots.

Woohoo!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
