Review: DeAtramentis - Sky Blue

I got a bunch of the DeAtramentis inks, and wanted to do a quick review of one of the first I tried, Sky Blue. Apparently, Dr. Jansen has started using the Englis translations sent to the USA now, because "Sky Blue" is the only name on the label. In any case, this is a lovely deep, rich Turquoise/Peacock blue color. Very saturated color with its own character. I only did this review with a Lamy Safari Fine nib, which was a good test of how strong/vibrant the color holds up. Like most inks, it is not waterproof, but it performed well in this red Lamy Safari. I did a scan and photo, and on my monitor, the photo looks closer to the actual color. With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

Interesting bottles there. Are they new? My DA ink bottles are round.

Thanks for the review. I like the saturated looks of this ink.

Nice review, thanks. This is a really lovely shade of torquoise.

And how can this be, because he is the Kwisatz Haderach.

Hi,

Quite a pleasant surprize. It really does look like what I would call a 'Peacock Blue'. The choice of a Fine nib with such a pale ink was rather brave - but the ink + paper gets it together to pull it off.

Nice looking turquoise ink.I like turquoise coloured ink and think I may have to put this on my list of one to try.
