The journal arrived here in Brooklyn on Saturday and has spent the weekend in Coney Island. I shall attempt to mail it to Shiroboshi on Wednesday morning. The person before me did a gorgeous drawing of a fountain pen in it.

Fortunately the hurricane missed us; in March the hurricaine (no one officially CALLED it by that name) blew in my studio window and I lost a book or portraits in FP and a bunch of drawings. Most of my work on paper and books survived. The paintings are waterproof.

The Journal landed with me yesterday evening. I shall get to it over the weekend at the earliest, unfortunately....

And bitterwonder, our pages are....<wow> :)

I'm really eager to see the pages as well. I am also simply dreading having to scan about 200 pages. I'm probably going to have to buy a new scanner after this! ;-)

So who has the journal now? It should have been moving through England and hopefully back on its way to the States by now.

The journal has not as yet found its way to my door.

This is probably a good thing from my perspective, as I still have no idea what to write in it...

Okay, it looks like we have a problem. I sent an email to the last person to have the journal and there was no response and in fact the message I sent has not been read yet. Does anybody have any information on shiroboshi? He hasn't signed into the forums in a couple of months and he was the last person to check in as having the journal.

I'm sorry to hear the journal has gone missing. May I add my name to the list when it turns up? I have three Sailor pens and they have the best nibs around.

Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.

That's sad. For those who saw something like it in the journal, here's another attempt at rendering a Sailor Pen in pencil.post-3247-0-58978600-1293038274.jpg

Dear All,

The good news is: The journal has not gone missing.

The bad news is: It has been sitting on my shelf for the last few months, woefully ignored.

Can I apologise to everyone about this. Since last September, my life has been a bit chaotic. I have been given extra teaching duties, a new field course, on top of a number of conferences, etc. I have been in and out of the country for the last few months, and things simply got in the way.

In all honesty, I simply should have sent the journal on, but never did get around to it. Unfortunately, I haven't been on FPN during this time period either (or have had a chance to buy any decent pens), and only picked up when Chris prodded me last week.

So, please accept my deepest and most sincere apologies for this. The journal is now packed up and on its way to Moby and should be there soon (its only a few 10s of miles).
