Elaine,

I received my Galileo Manuscript Brown today.

I've flushed my Lamy Safari Al-Star with a medium nib and will fill it tomorrow with the new ink. :cloud9:

All inks are fully back in stock. Interesting news coming soon :-)

Yes, FPN inks love to fly. One bottle costs $9.04 to ship via 1st Class Mail International. More bottles, more money to ship.

Hello Elaine,

Could you please let me know what FPN inks there are? Is there a site or link where I can see the colors/prices/etc?

Thank you,

Bert from Holland

Bert,

I am about to receive several bottles this week in order to aid in the continued existence of this site. Depending on where in the country you are, we could make an arrangement for you to receive one or a few of those.

Please contact em backchannel (PM or email) if you are interested.

Warm regards, Wim

Wim, what was that "Interesting news" teaser that Elaine posted back in November?

PS) I love all the FPN inks!

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

I don't know, and Elaine can't remember :D.

I use all the FPN inks myself, and love them too :D.

Is the address for ordering inks not being monitored again?

Ink orders are being processed. Got a little distracted this week with the security issues. Sorry once again.

I just re-sent an order that I originally sent on the 7th of June. I hope that someone receives it this time.

Ditto. I originally sent an order a week later and then re-sent later twice. I hope they're still at home.

After trouble shooting to find out why people weren't getting invoices I figured out that when I upgraded the financial software the preference for sending invoices was not preserved and invoices were not being sent. There was no error message so I didn't know there was a problem. I just adjusted the setting and sent out all recent unpaid invoices. Let me know if I missed yours.

Again, I'm sorry about the delay.

I just got my invoice by email (and prepaid immediately) so that I now see no harm done.

Glad that everything is now okay.

Thanks, Elaine!

Hello.

I originally placed an order via email for the Van Gogh and the Dumas on August 25, and sent a "2nd Attempt" follow-up email today (Aug 27).

Are the inks still available?

I would really like to obtain (at least) one bottle of each.

Please let me know if I should use another "channel" for my request.

Thank you.

The Inks just arrived!

The Starry Night Blue is great!

And the Dumas Tulipe is spot-on with the "eggplant" tone that I was looking for - !

Thank you very much!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
